The film is all about Oskar, a 12-year-old bullied young boy, and a pale young girl named Eli. Oskar made friends with Eli as soon as she moved in next door. However, as their connection got deeper, he learned that she was not a young girl but something he never expected her to be.
- Parasite (2019) – Rated R
One of the most popular movies in 2019, Parasite is the most recent creation of the award-winning Korean director, Boong Joon-Ho. “Parasite” is not your typical Halloween movie. It’s a dark comedy thriller that follows the mysterious and unpredictable lives of the impoverished Kim family when they started working for the wealthy Park family.
- It (2017)- Rated R
What’s Halloween without Pennywise? Based on Stephen King’s classic novel of the same name, “It” is filled with blood, thrill, and horror with a mix of drama and humor.
In this movie, a group of seven helpless kids had no other choice but to face their biggest fears and the shapeshifting murderous clown that reappeared to haunt their town.

- Blair Witch (2016)- Rated R
James ventures into the woods of Hills Forest Maryland along with his friends and two locals to find his missing sister. Many believed that her disappearance 17 years ago was connected to the legend of the Blair Witch. Blair Witch is a movie that will make you think not just twice but a hundred times before visiting the woods again.
- Crawl (2019) – Rated R
A hurricane hit a town in Florida and Haley and her father got stuck in their flooded house. They’ve tried to escape not knowing that floodwater should be the least of their fears because they also have unwelcomed supersized bloodthirsty alligators waiting to swallow them whole.
- Sea Fever (2019) – Not Rated
Ignoring the restricted zones, Siobhan, a solitary marine biology student and the close-knit crew of a fishing trawler (where she struggles to fit in) sails through the deep Atlantic. Soon enough, they encounter an unearthly squid-like creature and strangely contracted “sea fever,” a mysterious infection that requires the crew to self-quarantine (sounds familiar, right?!).
Siobhan not only needs to win the trust of the crew members, but she also needs to find the cause of the infection quickly or they’re all going to die.
This indie horror gem is truly a must-watch if you’re looking for something new or perhaps something quite relatable (considering the self-quarantine we had to go through because of COVID-19).
